What is a logging template?
Logging templates let you pre-set mail logging options for form letter, batch, and staffer and tagging options for issues and affiliations.
There are two ways logging templates are used: either manually or in conjunction with an automation (when they are applied automatically).
To create a logging template go to Mailroom > Logging Templates > New Template
From the New Template page, as shown above, you can fill in all of the same information you would if you were logging a letter. Once you complete it, press "Save." Now a new logging template has been created for you to use!
Logging Templates and Automations
To have a logging template applied to mail automatically, first create an automation from Mailroom > Inbox > Automations (multiple gear icon in the bottom lefthand corner of inbox page) > New Automation.
Next, select the inbound criteria
for an automation to match (ex: all mail from a specific campaign), then select the logging template that you have created.
And you're done!
Now, all mail that comes in from that campaign (or whatever inbound criteria you set) in the future will skip the inbox and have the logging template you created applied to it (batch, staffer, form letter, etc.).
