From within a single batch you can filter the mail to manipulate it better. On the right hand side of a batch are the filters
Form Status
From within a single batch you can narrow it down to look at the form letters that are not yet approved, or send out the ones with already approved letters
Response Type
You can narrow down a batch by outbound type. If you wanted to only print out the letters from a batch you could do that easily here.
Response Status
While form letters have a status, mail also has a status. You can then narrow down a batch to look at just the mail in different parts of that process for individual mail approval.
Customization
If you choose the individualize a single letter, you can view just the customized letters to ensure they are ready before sending those out
Assigned Staffer
You can view mail assigned to different staffers within a single batch. Perhaps you only need to print out the mail assigned to you.
Pro-Tip
After you have narrowed the mail within a batch down using the filters you can check the box at the top to select all of the mail on that page to modify it in bulk. It can also be helpful to change the view to 100 at a time to allow you to select mail in groups of 100.
